Not much to report on this week!
Unfortunately, I haven't really been able to find the time to really work on my current projects. I've been meaning to, but I'm also a little unsure of how I want the process to go.
Mainly, though, I've been working out the timelines for some original stories. I've actually been wondering about writing an original short story, though I think that would just be to get some practice actually writing them, instead of actually being a part of the main story.
There's a lot I want to do with these characters, and I doubt I would be able to do even one of their stories in 3,000 - 15,000 words, unless it was just their backstory or a quick flash forward (though I doubt I'll even be seriously thinking about those until I have the main timeline properly worked out).
I've also been reading The Godfather lately, so that's part of the reason I haven't really been writing; whenever I borrow books from the library, I try to finish them as fast as possible so I don't have to worry about not having them done by the time they're due. I'm also wondering if I might like to write something involving organized crime, though I doubt I could properly convey it from just that.
Unsure! Might include it as a small background thing in my 100 prompts self-challenge thing.
Finals are coming up next week, so I'll probably have quite a bit of freetime after that to write; I'm hoping to get the first draft of at least something done by the week after (one-shot, new "Lucky" part, prompt fill, etc.) though I'm unsure if I'll actually remember to...
In other news, though I doubt I'll ever get the inspiration to write for them, I'm finally getting around to finishing part 4 of jjba. I really love the characters, though, honestly, I don't think I'd really be able to get their voices quite right, though that's something I kind of always struggle with.
Practice makes better, especially when you get a lot of it; hopefully I'll be able to get some practice in sometime soon.
