Finally, after... what, like 2 months? 3? However long, I've finally started on the weekly log like I've been wanting to.

At first, I was a little afraid that anything I would write would turn out awkward or cringe-worthy, or I just wouldn't know what to say at all. But then I decided, eh, what the hell. No one cares, no one's seeing this anyway. I'm mostly doing this as a self-reminder to actually work on whatever it is I mention here, and also get some extra writing practice in (even if it isn't narritive-based or even very good). So:

A week or two ago, I finally got the second chapter of "Rebirth" finished; I'll probably put that on here soon, too. I'm hoping that I'll have at least finished a new draft of the third chapter by the end of the month. It's annoying, though, since I had to start basically from scratch after changing the entire direction of it. Hopefully it won't take me too much longer, though, since I'm pretty excited to get started on the other parts of the same series.

I've also started back on a project I started sometime last year. A friend of mine helped me draw up a list of 100 prompts based around different ways someone could tell another person they love them. At first I was just going to make the prompts and post them, maybe writing a one-shot or two based on them. Then I decided, hey, wouldn't it be a good exercise to write out all 100? I've got my work cut out for me, but I'm hoping to have at least a bit of it done and ready to post by February.

Unfortunately, I hit a bit of a roadblock when I went to work on the outlines. The prompt list itself is still intact, thankfully, but I guess sometime over a month ago I accidentally deleted the doc I had written all my actual ideas on. Fuck me, I guess. At least I hadn't made too much progress yet, but it's still kind of annoying to have to start over from scratch again.

Thankfully I at least won't have to edit it all by myself like I usually do. Since my friend helped me come up with all the prompts in the first place, she's going to help proofread for me once I actually get some writing done. I just feel a bit bad, since I'm hoping to make all of them short story length (at least 3k words). She told me she doesn't mind, and she actually likes correcting things, but still. I'm sure she'll regret saying that just a little, since her head will probably hurt from reading so much off of a screen (I would certainly know).

Long story short, progress is as slow as ever, but is for once actually being made! Woohoo!

I'm just hoping I don't suddenly get another idea for a project that'll end up distracting me for weeks or months and then not actually go anywhere.
